One of our popular products is the China Rose (Rosa Chinensis Angel Wings). This miniature rose is great when grown in containers or as a front-of-the-border planting. The China Rose Angel Wings flower seeds produce a mixture of singles and doubles, with colors ranging from shades of rose and pink to white. The plants reach a height of 12-14 inches and prefer full sun and well-drained soil.

To grow the China Rose, start the seeds indoors in late winter using a quality seed starting mix. Keep the seeds cool and moist, as the germination can be irregular and take some extra time. Once the seedlings are large enough to handle, transplant them into larger individual pots and apply a liquid fertilizer at half the concentration every 2 weeks. When the plants have grown to 3-4 inches, begin to acclimate them to the outdoors for 10 days or more before planting them in rich, well-draining soil.

The China Rose typically provides a few flowers in its first year and many more blooms the following year. Keep faded flowers trimmed and fertilize regularly for the best display of blooms. This hardy perennial grows in USDA zones 5-9 and is easy to grow from seed.
